the dramarturgy centers on developing the stage as a metaphore for society containing both audience and actors linked by impromptu movements and a visceral and emotional rapport. This society is in a severe state of both physical and behavioural confinement.

The Trojan Women by Euripides and true stories based on the exploitation of “comfort women” in Korea during WWII combine the play about the constellation of defeated and defeaters, of humiliated vs. victors with facts of recent history. The long tradition of sexual violence against women in war reveals itself in all its bitterness, as well as the consternation and silence of the victims in their life thereafter. The production incorporates historical and biographical texts and the narrative form of the Pansori opera.
